Many of our readers know that needed repairs have been made to our beloved Ocracoke Island lighthouse (see our posts for December 15, 2009 & January 22, 2010 for photos).
If you have not traveled down NC Highway 12 between Nags Head & Ocracoke you may not be aware that significant repairs are also being made to the Bodie Island lighthouse. Several photos have been posted on the web site of the Outer Banks Lighthouse Society. You can view them here:
